Melton tenpin bowling star Katie Tagg capped a superb 12 months by securing a hat-trick of titles in Ireland last weekend.
Fresh from becoming the UK Junior Masters champion in September, Katie travelled to Dublin to defend her Under 19s Junior Irish Open title.
After bowling eight qualifying games on Saturday, the reigning Melton Times Junior Sportswoman of the Year averaged an astonishing 225, making her the top-ranking player going into the second and final day of the competition.
She bowled three further games which were equally high scoring and she finished as number one seed going into the round robin finals.
The other three finalists from Scotland, Sweden and Slovakia pushed her close, but such was her lead, Katie held on to take the title, two days before her 18th birthday.
Victory gave the Melton bowler her third consecutive Irish win, having been crowned under 16s champion two years ago.
