Melton martial arts star Iman Barlow will live her American dream after signing a deal with a United States promoter.
The multiple Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion has put her name to a four-fight deal with US Thai boxing promoters Lion Fight.
Dutch outfit Enfusion have managed the 23-year-old for the last three years, but with her contract due to end this September, negotiated a new deal.
She will continue to appear on Enfusion shows in Europe while splitting the rest of her time in the ring between the United States and home.
Her debut on the other side of the Atlantic will be in Los Angeles on September 2.
Iman’s dad Mark Barlow, chief instructor at the Assassins Gym, said: “Enfusion is more kickboxing and Iman wanted to do more Thai boxing.
“So we signed for three fights a year with Enfusion and then were approached by Muay Thai promoter Scott Kent who owns Lion Fight.
“We agreed a deal which involves Iman fighting twice a year at the O2 in London and twice a year in America, plus two fights a year in Melton.”
Training classes with Iman are available on Tuesdays (6-7pm) and Thursdays (7-8pm).
