The club’s head coach Di Burdett and her B&D Coaching partner Brent Horobin are delighted with the appointment of the Melton-born player as a club coach as they look to improve the services available.

The 23-year-old has been with the coaches since the age of four, coming up through the junior ranks and is a product of their successful junior programme.

Ryan has achieved much in his playing career, gaining many junior and senior county titles as well as representative honours with the Leicestershire county teams at junior and senior levels.

He has been an integral part of the successful Melton team and competes at both regional and national level regularly.

Di said: “The appointment of Ryan as part of our coaching team will be a great asset to our club and he will be heavily involved in all aspects of our coaching programme, giving us scope to offer more activities to our members as our new club continues to develop.”

Club chairman Nigel Haynes added: “We are delighted and excited that Ryan had joined the coaching staff.

“We have already shown the benefits of having born and bred Melton coaches with Di and Brent already having Charlie Griffin, brothers Sam Dryell and Tom Dryell, Abi Hickling and Beth Cavani involved in the coaching programme.

“Ryan joining the staff is a further testament to our policy.”
