Melton martial artists Brent Penniston and Emmadee Fox were on top of the world after being crowned global champions.
The pair, both members of Leicestershire BCKA (British Chinese Kung fu/Kickboxing Association), went to compete with the England and Scotland team at the seventh WKC World Championships in Albufeira, Portugal.
They took part in fighting and forms (kata) sections and took on opponents from several nations including Spain, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Germany, Slovakia, and France.
Emmadee won two gold meals, four silvers and a bronze and was named a world champion in her sport, while Brent became a two-time world beater, claimign a haul fof six gold medals and four silvers.
Their achievements made it the most productive-ever world championships for the Leicestershire area.
