Melton Darts League: Gnerous Briton JMX up pressure with Noels whitewash

Generous Briton JMX moved up to second after recording the highest win in the Boat Premier Division this season.

They crushed Noels Arms 11-0 to go within eight points of leaders Generous Briton B who remain undefeated after another impressive win, 9-2, against Blue Moon who remain in the bottom four.

Newly-promoted Shoes Tucks moved up to fifth with a 9-2 win over relegation-threatened Generous Briton X, while Crown Bye withstood a Harboro Ugliffe fightback to win 6-5. Boat P slipped to third after Harboro X turned in an impressive 6-5 win to go fourth in a congested table.

Stute began well against Welby C, but with the game at 2-2 Welby hit top form to take the next seven legs.

* The top-of-the-table game in Half Moon Division saw White Hart Tub beat the Anchor 7-4 to move 10 points clear.

It looks a two-horse race for honours with Half Moon D 15 points back in third after a 9-2 win over Snooker Club. Half Crowns notched a fourth straight league win as they saw off Black Swan 6-5 after a winner-takes-all final leg.

In-form Shoes All Stars are fourth following another fine 7-4 win over hard-to-beat Gen Briton Nut Dogs.

Boat B got back to winning ways after losing their last three games by beating winless and bottom Cutting Room, 8-3. Boat D overcame fellow strugglers Harboro Jabs 8-3 to go 12 points clear of the drop zone, while Harboro Jabs are just one point off the bottom.

* Blue Bell stayed top of the Phil James Architectural Division after shading Half Moon DC 6-5 who drop from second to third.

The Moon fought back to level at 5-5 only to lose out on the last leg. Saddle Pirates moved second and within 10 points of the leaders, with a game in hand in second after an 8-3 win over Black Swan Reem.

Winless Harboro Seniors continued to struggle as they were well-beaten 10-1 by Grapes F, and White Hart A moved into fourth after taking the last three legs to beat Black Swan C 7-4.

Boat SS came back from 5-3 down to record back-to-back wins after overcoming Half Moon Z 6-5, and Kettleby Cross caused an upset with their first win of the season against Crowning Glory.
