Dave Harper won the Wednesday Middy Winter Xtreme match with a 53lb 7lb catch.
He caught a net of about 30 fish, taken on maggot, fishing shallow down the margin and track.
But with Dave and runner-up Mick Beckhurst already through to the final next March, third-placed Ant Lee, from Notts was the lucky one to qualify by default.

* Saturday’s match winner Bob Greenbury fished three-quarter over to catch a few carp and skimmers on bread.
Mick then fished to the right on the deck using maggot to finish with a 32lb 12oz bag.
Bob Dyer was the lucky angler to qualify by default for the Middy Winter Series Final in fifth place with a haul of 15lb 12oz.

He caught on maggot, fishing across and down the track which produced carp to 4lb, F1s, skimmers and a few barbel.
