Eric Lillyman and Dave Harper became the latest qualifiers for September’s Middy Baggin Machine Summer Series Final after the latest round of matches last week.
Lillyman caught 67lb 13oz off peg 10 at last Wednesday’s qualifier, bagging carp, skimmers and F1s on maggot.
A hard frost for three successive mornings had kept water temperatures down, and bright sunshine followed by dropping temperatures, hail and snow storms made for difficult fishing, but weights were close across the board.

Harper, who had finished runner-up three days beforehand, was close behind with 57lb 1oz, taken from peg 21.
