A field of 21 anglers competed to qualify for the Middy Xtreme Final last Wednesday.
Bob Greenbury booked his place with 105lb 1oz off marina’s peg 14 which also earned him the golden peg bonus of £100. He narrowly beating in-form Andy Bailey who took 100lb 13oz off marina’s peg six, Bob caught carp to 5lb, skimmers and F1s on pellet down the margins and track.

* Bob Greenbury also won Saturday’s qualifier from canal peg 17 with 106lb 12oz, catching lots of F1s and carp to 4lb on pellet down the margins and track.
Tom Pringle came a very close second with 105lb 10 oz off peg 11 which put him through to next March’s final by default. Tom caught on pellet down the track and margins on the deck.

* Andy Bailey had another excellent weight of 124lb 5oz off canal peg 17 to win the Sunday open.
Andy fished pellet down the track and margins catching F1s and carp to 4lb.
