Peter Cooke and Sean Huggins became the latest anglers at Lakeview Fishery to qualify for the Middy £4,000 final last week.
Peter won Wednesday’s qualifier with 60lb 1oz, caught off peg 20 on the serpent pool, netting mainly carp to 2lb and F1s on pellet, catching deep in the margins and down the track.
Andy Searle was unlucky to miss out on qualifying, finishing second by just 6oz off peg 24.
* In Saturday’s qualifier, Sean edged out Neil Edwards on the canal with 93lb 10oz, taken off peg 14.
Neil, who was fishing peg 12, caught 90lb 11oz.
The Middy £4,000 qualifiers are open to all anglers.

Heading a good field of 31 anglers, Brian caught F1s, carp, and skimmers on pellet.
