Brian Greenbury couldn’t put a foot wring last weekend as he secured back-to-back wins at Lakeview Fishery.
The Dynamite team angler followed up victory in the Middy Baggin Machine Summer Series on Saturday by winning the Sunday Open.
Greenbury won the Middy match with a haul of 82lb 13oz, taken from peg seven on the canal pool, but having already booked his place in September’s final, the qualifying spot went to runner-up Paul Kania.
The Lakeview Select man weighed in with 78lb 1oz from peg two on the canal.
Sunday’s match was a closer affair with Greenbury (73lb 1oz) winning by a single pound from runner-up Steve Ward (72lb 1oz).
* Last Wednesday’s Middy Series match was won by Steve Haywood with a catch of 93lb 8oz, taken from peg 18 on the river pool.
The Middy angler was a long way clear of runner-up Dave Brakewell (79lb 13oz) who took the qualifying spot for the Middy Baggin Machine Final.
