Junior fencers from a village club are celebrating after claiming gold and silver medals at a regional championships last week.
Frisby Fencers sent five youngsters to compete in two categories at the East Midlands Youth Championships, held at The Samworth Church Academy, in Mansfield.
Niamh Noble and Kathryn Walkden entered the girls’ under 13s epee, while William Atkinson, Joseph Atkinson and Finlay Noble all took part in the under 9s boys’ epee.
Niamh was in superb form to win gold in her discipline, while Kathryn finished fifth, both producing excellent performances against experienced opponents.
William and Finlay added to Frisby’s medal tally, winning gold and silver respectively, while Joseph finished just outside the medals in fifth.
Frisby Fencers head coach Richard Sharpe said: “They were all a credit to the club, both in their fencing performance and their positive attitude.
“We are very proud of all of them for their hard work and dedication.”
