The Assassins Muay Thai and Boxing Gym have spent time in Thailand as they prepare for their final hometown show of the year.

The gym has just stepped up training for the show which takes place at the Market Tavern, in Melton, on Saturday, October 13.

The bill features 22 bouts, so far, with 19 Assassin fighters matches, and includes a world title defence, a boxing match, and seven international bouts as teams from Germany, Ireland ad Portugal head to town.

“Head trainer and promoter Mark Barlow said: “We’ve had a busy year so far with fights all over the UK and the world in some of he biggest events and we’ve only lost one bout.

“We have had a group trip to Thailand which everyone enjoyed and learned from the experience, and the team are going to train twice as hard.

“They all want to put on a show.”

A total of 10 senior Assassins feature, with four making their competitive debuts, and there will be two bouts with knees and elbows to the head allowed.

Doors open at 5pm with action under way at 6pm.

Tickets are on sale from Nicko’s Fish Bar, all Assassin gym members or their Facebook page Assassins Muay Thai, with tables still available.
