In Melton Winter Pool League, the Stute heaped pressure on the Division One leaders as they cut the gap at the top to four points.

The Asfordby Hill team thrashed the Cherry Tree 8-1, while pacesetters MSC A took full advantage of their opponents being two men short by beating Boys and Their Toys 7-2.

The Saddle made it two impressive wins in a row, this week beating Phoenix Knights 7-2, but Legion B slipped to a second successive 6-3 loss, this time losing to bottom side Notorious TIB.

The Polish Club recorded a 6-3 victory over MSC Elite and sit in second place, a full 20 points behind leaders Harboro Cadabra who had to battle to edge past Ingall’s Idiots 5-4.

You Shall Not Pot got the better of Pop Ya Cherry, running out 5-4 winners over their fellow promotion contenders.

* The Con Merchants bagged themselves the biggest win in Division Three, beating bottom team BD 8-1.

Frontrunners Genny Jokers thumped Top of the League 7-2, a scoreline matched by second-placed Pool Boyz who ensured they didn’t lose any ground in the fight for the title by defeating Half Cut.

Not to be left out, third-placed Bears on Powder also ran out 7-2 winners as they beat Just the Tip.

Burton Street Preachers took advantage of Our Drinking Team Has a Pool Problem’s poor form, beating them 6-3, while Cue Up lost ground on the top three as they slipped to a 5-4 defeat against Black Swan Poolaholics.
