Melton swimmer claims three golds and three silvers at big regional meet

Will Graham was the standout performer for Melton Swimming Club in the East Midlands Championships.

The club had a superb 16 finalists over the three days of the meet, which was held at Ponds Forge in Sheffield.

Will Graham made the final in each of his six events.

He was never out of the first two, picking up three gold medals and three silvers.

Leah Walker also made three finals, finishing fifth in the 50m fly, sixth in the 50m free and seventh in the 50m breaststroke.

Will Brighty had an excellent competition, making the finals in the 50m and 100m backstroke, where he finished seventh in both.

Molly Hey was also on top form, qualifying for both the 200m fly and 400m IM finals, with new long course personal bests.

Callum Brook and Clarice Ellingworth both made fantastic regional debuts getting into the finals in the 50m backstroke and 50m breaststroke, respectively. Clarice finished ninth and Callum 10th in very competitive age groups.

Finally, Michael Hill made the final of the 50m free and was sixth in a time of 25.00.
