Just over a week remains before Melton’s Muay Thai Assassins host their final hometown show of the year at the Market Tavern.

A total of 14 Assassins will be in action on an 18-fight card which takes place on Saturday, October 24 from 6pm.

Four Assassins – Samantha Culley, Mohammed Hussain, Paul Chaplin and Nathan Donovan – will be making their Melton debuts at the event which features four challengers from Spain, and three from Norway, as well as a world title contest.

Chaplin faces a five-round clash with Spanish opponent Salvador Posadas who has a reputation as a good puncher and boxer.

Devon’s Chantelle Tippet also faces a Spaniard, Noelia Rueda, while Assassin Tyree Stevens takes on Spanish-based fighter Danny Brady.

In the England v Norway match, Michael Robinson fights Jerry Ljunggren in a five-round Muay Thai bout, and Thai Barlow is pitted against Mohammed Abdulkadir.

But topping the bill is Iman Barlow who also faces a Norwegian opponent, Fatima Pinto, for the WTKA world title.

The showdown is expected to be hard-fought and close with action from the opening bell.

Other Assassins on the card are Elizabeth Griffiths, Billy Hammond, Cailan Nolan, Saxon Nugent and Aliza Agwan.

Doors open at 5.30pm. Tickets are available from Nicko’s Fish Bar, any Assassin member, by calling (01664) 567491 or on the door.
