Melton RFC U8s enjoy good run-out at Syston
The squad was depleted, with several players out supporting their older siblings in cup matches, so the travelling eight had a tough job on their hands.
The Syston squad are fearsome opponents and Melton were impressed by their strong defence; a key component of the under 8s game.

Both teams benefited from the chance to develop their game against strong competition and the Melton coaches continued to develop the defensive line, moving it forward to prevent a build-up in attack from Syston’s fast runners.
Parker-Allen made some fantastic tags, while Hargrave cut through the Syston defence with an impressive turn of speed.
The coaches would like to thank their hosts Syston. Training resumes at 10.30am on Sunday at Burton Road.
