Melton RFC host West Bridgford in pre-season opener

Newly-promoted Melton RFC step up their preparations for a highly-anticipated campaign with their first pre-season friendly this weekend.

The club’s First XV are gearing up for life in Midlands One East following two successive league titles and promotions.

Melton start their pre-season programme with the visit of West Bridgford on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).

There will be four 20-minute periods as well as fitness drills and workout to give all new and old players a chance to get ready for the new season.

The season proper begins on Saturday, September 3 when they entertain Leighton Buzzard at Burton Road.
