Melton launches This Girl Can Week

A national campaign to encourage more women and girls into sport and physical activity hits Melton with a special week of activities.

Sport England’s This Girl Can campaign is being promoted in the county from Monday, June 6 to Sunday, June 12.

During the week there will be a Melton timetable of free or reduced cost activities for all women and girls, ranging from cricket activities to tennis club open days and netball.

Timetable: Tuesday (7th) - Junior Tennis, Belvoir Vale Tennis Club, 6-7pm, (free); Breeze Ride, Corner of Market Square opposite the Picture Cafe, 6.30-7.45pm, (free).

Wednesday (8th) - Junior Tennis, Belvoir Vale Tennis Club, 9.30-11am, (free); Breeze Ride, Corner of Market Square opposite the Picture Cafe, 10am-12noon, (free); Long Clawson Walk, Village Hall, 10-11am, (free); Beginners Walk, Melton Country Park, 10.30-11.30am, (free); Work it Wednesday’s, 1-3pm, (free), email [email protected] for details; Zumba Class, The Polish Club, 7-8pm, (£2).
