Melton Golf Club tournament raises £750 for Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal

A tournament held at Melton Golf Club has raised £750 for the Royal British Legion (RBL) Poppy Appeal.

The betterball stableford, was played on Friday, June 12. The annual fundraiser was held for the 18th year this year.

The winners were John Squires and Tom Eden (Melton) with 37 points on count back.

Second prize went to Jim Ross and R.Lawrence (Rutland Water) with 37 points on count back.

Third prize went to Bob Parkinson and Peter Maine (Melton) with 37 points on count back.

Melton RBL would like to thank all the players and those who made the day such a success.

Money collected from the Poppy Appeal goes towards providing help to serving Armed Forces personnel, ex-servicemen and women and their dependents.
