Melton Darts League: Shoes Tucks continue to impress in top flight

Newly-promoted Shoes Tucks maintained their impressive unbeaten start to the Melton Darts League season after beating Blue Moon 7-4.

Shoes lie third in the Boat Premier Division, while Blue Moon are winless and third from bottom.

Gen Briton B and Boat also remain undefeated after 8-3 wins over Harboro Ugliffe and the Welby, respectively. Boat remain top and lead Gen Briton by three points.

Gen Briton JMX, bolstered by their new signings, are proving hard to beat after another victory over Harboro X 7-4 kept them in touch with the leading pair.

The Stute were close to their first win of the season and led Gen Briton X 5-4, only to lose the last two triples.

* In the Half Moon Division, Anchor and White Hart Tub remain neck and neck at the top after both winning again 10-1.

Anchor disposed of newly-promoted Cutting Room, while White Hart defeated Crown. The result of the night went to Black Swan Ducklings who overcame Half Moon D (formerly Mash Tub D), 10-1.

Unbeaten Boat B faced newly-promoted stablemates Boat D, but never came under pressure, racing into a 4-2 lead before eventually winning 8-3.

Snooker Club are beginning to find their feet and made Shoes All Stars work hard for their 7-4 win having been in with a shout at 5-4.

Harboro Jabs have yet to find form, losing for the second week running against much-improved Gen Briton Nut Dogs who came through 8-3.

* Half Moon DC lead the P. James Division by six points after another 10-1 win, over Kettleby Cross, and have dropped just two legs this season.

Blue Bell Hoby are second after a walkover against Harboro Seniors, while Crowning Glory moved into the top half with an 8-3 win over Half Moon Z.

Black Swan Reem (formerly Mash Tub) and Black Swan C were locked at 5-5 before the C team took the decider.

Grapes F are proving hard to beat and ran out 7-4 winners against White Hart A who had led 4-3. Saddle Pirates moved up to third with a convincing win over Boat SS, 9-2.
