Melton Darts League: Generous Briton stay unbeaten with Crown win

Gen Briton B became the only unbeaten team in the Melton Darts League and head the Boat Premier Division by seven points after their 8-3 win over Crown Bye.

Gen Briton JMX kept up the pressure in second after coming back from 3-1 down to win six straight legs and beat the Welby 7-4.

The Stute were on the receiving end as Blue Moon racked up another win, 8-3, and Shoes Tucks edged past Harboro Ugliffe 6-5 on a final game decider. Shoes drop to fifth while Harboro stay ninth.

Harboro X are up to fourth after becoming the latest team to inflict a heavy defeat on relegation-threatened Noels who were beaten 10-1. Boat P returned to winning ways with a 9-2 victory over Gen Briton X to go third.

* Shoes All Stars’ winning run continued to go third in the Half Moon Division as Harboro Jabs were thrashed 10-1 and drop to the bottom.

White Hart Tub stayed top, but were pushed all the way by Half Moon D and just got over the winning line 6-5. Second-placed Anchor took advantage to close the gap to just two points by beating Boat D 9-2.

Gen Briton Nut Dogs were in no mood for compromise as they sunk Boat B 9-2 to leapfrog them in the table. Jeb Chapman narrowly missed out on a 170 finish.

Cutting Room are now the only team without a win after a 7-4 loss to Half Crowns, but surprisingly moved off the bottom of the table as fourth-placed Swan Ducklings overwhelmed out-of-form Snooker Club 10-1.

* Half Moon DC remained top of the Phil James Architectural Division, nine points clear, after beating stablemates Moon Z 8-3.

Second-placed Blue Bell closed the gap with an impressive 10-1 win over Grapes F, while improving Boat SS took the first nine legs against Black Swan C who replied late to take the last two legs. Saddle Pirates are not out of the race in third and are just eight points behind the Bell after a 7-4 win over Crowning Glory.

White Hart A trailed Swan Reem 3-0, but won the first five singles and took the game 7-4 to move up to fourth.

Harboro Seniors notched their first win of the season, 6-5, against fellow strugglers Kettleby Cross.
