Greenbury used pellet to land carp, skimmers, F1s and tench, fishing down the track and over. Darren Bamford drew the golden peg on stream and won his lake with 56lb 8oz to earn an added £70 bonus.

* Tom Pringle won Sunday’s open match at Lakeview, catching 74lb 8oz of F1s, carp and skimmers off peg 12 on the marina.

Steve Ward won the river lake by just 12 ounces from James Faulkes, catching 69lb 13oz, off unfancied peg 14.

* At the latest Lakeview Veterans matches, Chris Shore finished well clear last Wednesday, finding peg 17 in ideal conditions.

Chris used bread shallow to net 66lb. Only a pound covered the next three places who were all in the same area on the edge of the shoal.

Pete Sisson came in second with 37lb, closely followed by Pete Cliffe (36lb 12oz) and John Cooke, who caught well late on to finish with 36lb 3oz.

Brian Nicholls won the other section but the rest struggled.

The two Notts AA anglers did it again on Saturday as Roger Holmes and John Cooke took first and second in a close match on serpent.

Fishing alongside each other, Roger went with pellet in the margin and took 21lb 4oz, to win by just eight ounces from John who used maggot down the track. Close behind was Steve Beckhurst with 18lb and Dennis Porter with 16lb.
