Lakeview regular Mick Beckhurst was the first to qualify for the Middy Nano Core Summer Series final on September 17.
Mick caught 87lb 1oz of carp, skimmers and F1s on maggot and bread, fishing down the track and over, to finish the clear winner.

He caught 66lb 1oz of carp, skimmers, and F1s off golden peg 19, on the stream pool, which bagged him an extra £70 in his winnings. Keith caught down the track and over on maggot.

* It was an excellent day for Roger Parnell who won Sundays open match from golden peg 20 on stream.
This gave him a grand total payout of £245 after catching 87lb 15oz, fishing down the track and over to the left on maggot to take carp, skimmers, F1s, and barbel.
Steve Haywood was also lucky to take home extra winnings after drawing golden peg 18 on river for a total of £148. Steve was second overall, catching 76lb 2oz of carp and F1s, fishing on maggot and pellet.
