Third place and a haul of just 7lb 5oz was enough to take Joey Griffin through on Saturday as cold temperatures and rain all day made for a hard day’s fishing.

Andy Searle, already qualified, won the match with 44-05-00, catching F1s and carp on pellet, maggot and bread.
