Hot Rod challenge will see Chase fulfil one of his racing dreams

Nine-year-old Chase Sharpe is preparing fulfil and ambition as he prepares to compete in Junior Hot Rods in his Citroen C2.

Chase, who comes from a racing family, has been racing karts since his sixth birthday and has always wanted to get into racing cars.

And now his dream is coming true.

The car is a full on race car with a complex roll cage and is very light.

Chase - whose car has been wrapped in an eyecatching livery by sponsor Digital Dealine, based in North Street, Melton - has been testing this year and will continue to test until his 10th birthday, in February, when he will start racing for real.

He will be racing on track with a full grid of Junior Hot Rods and has been watching lots of touring car races to get ready for the racing!

He loves the car, it handles amazing and he is eager for the 2021 season to begin.

Chase is also part of the JSCC Young Ones, which is run by the Junior Saloon Car Championship, where he will be racing when he is 14-years-old. Chase receives support and advice from the JSCC and Chase was recently testing one of their Saxo race cars on track.
