Hamilton under 10s were in top form as both A and B teams served up 6-0 whitewash wins.

The B team of Ben Greening and Alisha Dalby were convincing winners over Desford, and Jack York and Lucas Townend saw off Loughborough Town A.

The under 12s boys B team of James Roberts and Oliver Roberts were on the wrong end of the same scoreline against Leicestershire B.

* The men’s first team retained their position at the top of Group One with a walkover.

Hamilton men’s third team held on to their lead in Group Eight after shading Belvoir Vale 5-3 in a howling gale.

Andy Stevens and Mike Crane led the team with four sets, and Steve Thompson with Graham Hall clinched the win by taking their last set on a tie-break.

Scores: Andy Stevens/Mike Crane W 6-4, 6-1; W 6-2, 6-1. Steve Thompson/Graham Hall L 2-6, 3-6; D 0-6, 7-6.

* The ladies’ first team are joint top of Group Two after their hard-fought draw against Charnwood Seconds.

Each pair drew, and the team now face a difficult run-in to gain promotion.

* The ladies’ third team finally broke their duck with their first win of the season after several narrow defeats.

Eileen Merrison and Pat Woolston won three sets, and Polly Dolby with Davina Adams took two.
