Although hampered by a Tigers fixture change which forced some current players to miss the match, it did not detract from the importance the Melton club puts on the fixture.

A photoshoot of the both teams on the first tee was held before a good-natured match began, with the Melton team wives providing the halfway house.

Melton ran out winners by three-and-a-half to one-and-a-half, with nearest-the-pin prizes going to Kev Robertson and John Squires on the fifth and 14th, respectively.

Tigers team captain Phil Smith thanked club vice-captain Gerry Stephens for organising the day and everyone for their hospitality, especially new chef Andy.
