The Whissendine 6ix road race returns for its annual instalment on Friday, July 7 (7.30pm).
The six-mile road race and walk was first staged in 1985 and has become a popular event in the running calendar.
The event starts and finishes in the Rutland village with the course following a circuit bordering Stapleford Park.
All entrants receive a race memento and bottle of beer supplied by race sponsors Grainstore Brewery, and there will be prizes for all category winners.
The village Brownies will provide a barbecue on race night.
Last year’s race was won by Jonathan Palmer in 33min 15secs, just 20 seconds ahead of Stilton Strider Jason Barton.
Online registration at £8.50 or £7.50 for affiliated club runners, is available at www.whissendine6ix.org.uk until midnight on Wednesday, July 5.
Registration at £10 will be available on the night up to 7pm.
