With the United Counties League and Senior League already under way, the rest of our Saturday sides join the party this weekend.

The North Leicestershire League and the Leicester and District League both kick off on Saturday, featuring several of our sides.

Bottesford begin their bid for Premier Division football when they host Loughborough United, complete with a plush new clubhouse.

The villagers finished sixth in Division One last season, while their opponents were rock-bottom.

Division Two features newly-promoted sides Asfordby Development and Wymeswold Reserves, who open at home to Greenhill YC A, and at new Syston-based side Midland Red, respectively.

After one successful season, finishing fourth in Division Two, Clawson Kings revert back to their old name of CK Dons and open at Ravenstone United.

Our sole team in Division Three is now Bottesford FC Reserves who head to Loughborough United Reserves.

All matches kick off at 2pm.

In a slimmed down District League, Queniborough begin their Division One campaign against Label Apeel at Rearsby Road (ko 2pm) looking to improve on an encouraging fourth-place finish last term.

* The Leicestershire Women’s Senior League has expanded to 12 teams this season and returns on Sunday at 2pm.

Asfordby Amateurs, who finished second to Lutterworth last season, open at home to Hinckley Ladies, while Syston Town return after several seasons’ absence at home to AFC Leicester.
