Playing in their new kits, sponsored by ESF Events, Rangers hit the ground running and Asfordby’s defence struggled with Henley O’Sullivan’s speed, and Manning’s skill.

Manning went close many times, and after 10 minutes she whipped in a corner which forced a scramble and an own goal.

With Keenan, Baker and Moule dominating midfield, Manning hit the bar after breaking through one-on-one with the keeper.

Asfordby could not get through the strong back three of captain Farrow, Mcdaid and Cook-Snow.

Substitute Drummy also had some great chances, but on 25 minutes Asfordby levelled from a free-kick from their only attack.

The second half saw more Rangers dominance as they pushed for a winner, but the tie went to penalties.
