Mowbray Rangers Jaguars Under 14s were on top form as they earned a point against an Oadby side who are among the favourites to win the league.
The game started at a high intensity, with a timely tackle from Roscoe breaking up a dangerous early move and springing a quick counter-attack.
Faulkner and Aldridge set Bruce-Chapman through on goal, but Oadby’s defence were alert to the threat and went back on the attack in a fast-paced end-to-end game.
Rangers hit the front with a move which started at the back, picking out Woodall who exchanged passes with Faulkner and Aldridge to tee up Worby on the edge of the box. He skipped a tackle and found Woodall who carried on his run to fire in the opener.
A half-clearance then fell to Oadby’s number eight who smashed home the equaliser.
Tyler nicked possession, but shot wide when clear, but Faulkner restored the lead when he wad first to react when ball broke from a corner to fire in a fabulous long-range shot from outside the box.
Homewood created a chance, but was off-target as Rangers finished the half the stronger.
Mowbray looked to consolidate after the break, but 10 minutes Oadby levelled again.
Rangers pushed, but hit the post and saw efforts saved, but Oadby hit the front for the first time when their striker was given too much room and volleyed a third with 15 minutes left.
Worby was moved to help link with Aldridge, while Faulkner moved forward and was able to run at the Oadby defence.
The forceful runs created problems and forced some last-ditch tackles, including one on Faulkner in the box, but penalty appeals were waved away.
Oadby remained dangerous and attacked with purpose, but Homewood had the final say in this exciting game when he curled an unstoppable finish into the top corner, after good build-up with Aldridge, Worby, Faulkner and Grant, to make it 3-3.
