Asfordby maintained their perfect start to the season on Saturday against a tough Sileby Town Reserves side.

The hosts put Sileby under early pressure with Brandon Hands and Linford Harris having early shots well saved.

The deadlock was broken midway through the first half when Harris rolled in the slowest finish you’ve ever seen after a well worked attack.

Sileby went close when a one on one effort was put just wide before Harris ran clear to hit the post just before half time.

Sileby started the second half stronger and got their equaliser when a long free kick drifted over everyone landing at the strikers feet to slot past Barrett-Clark in the Asfordby goal.

Harris hit back straight away when he volleyed in a Luke Howitt free kick to retake the lead.

Howitt and George Torr saw late efforts just go wide as Asfordby claimed the three points to stay top of Everards Brewery Leicestershire Senior League Division 2 (North & East).

Asfordby Development kept up their better form with a strong 1-1 draw away to Sutton Bonington Reserves to put them up into ninth in Division Three of the County League.
