Asfordby FC chalked up their first win in the Leics Senior League top flight at the eighth attempt on Saturday.

Jon Allsop’s side followed up their morale-boosting county cup win against Holwell with a 3-2 victory at top-four side FC Khalsa GAD.

Midweek goalscorers Junior Gaskin and Luke Peberdy were on target again, and Mason Lee also scored to secure a narrow win despite Leandro Jamaal Browne’s double.

Asfordby are 14th in the Premier and host Allexton and New Parks on Saturday (ko 3pm).

Wymeswold stayed top of Division One despite being held to a 1-1 draw at Lutterworth Town Reserves.

Gus Gentleman was on target again to give the visitors a 15th-minute lead, but Tendai Bwanali levelled four minutes after the break.

Bwanali was sent off with 10 minutes left, but the villagers could not take advantage.

Unbeaten Wymeswold are a point clear of three teams, including Earl Shilton Albion who they face on Saturday, away, in the County Intermediate Cup (ko 2pm).
