Asfordby FC and Melton Town handed County Cup away draws

Asfordby FC's reward for their upset win at Holwell Sports is a trip to Midland Football League side Heather St Johns in the second round of the Senior County Cup.

Melton Town have also been handed another away draw following their opening round win at Ellistown, and travel to Senior League side Friar Lane and Epworth.

The second round takes place on Tuesday, October 23 (7.30pm).

The remaining Leicestershire and Rutland FA county cups get under way this weekend with first round ties.

Senior League Division One pacesetters Wymeswold head to Earl Shilton Albion in the Saturday Intermediate Cup, while in the Saturday Trophy, in-form CK Dons host Woodhouse Imperial at the All England Ground in Melton, Queniborough entertain Sileby Victoria, and Bottesford head to Leicester Three Lions.

And in the Saturday Vase, Asfordby FC Development are away to Thurnby Willows, Wymeswold Reserves are at Quorn Rangers, and Bottesford Reserves head to Mountsorrel.

All of Saturday’s ties kick off at 2pm.
