Asfordby Amateurs moved into the top three of Senior League Division One for the first time this season.

Amateurs’ home match with Thurnby Nirvana Reserves was the only match to be completed in Division One on Saturday as waterlogged pitches put paid to the rest of the fixture schedules.

Jouel Potter put the visitors in front at half-time, but former Holwell striker Ian Bitmead restored parity in the second half.

Dave Gordon then gave Asfordby the lead as the home side looked to go level on points with leaders Lutterworth Town.

But Potter’s second of the game levelled the scores with 10 minutes to go as Nirvana earned their first point in three starts.
