A win for Barkby’s Third XI at Frisby completed a County League clean sweep for the club on Saturday.
Hosting Bharat Sports, Barkby skipper Lilley and opened the bowling, tearing through the top order, while Fox (8-3-8-1) dried up the runs at the other end, while snaffling his own caught and bowled chance.
Vadgama (5-0-27-1) eventually found his line to bowl Bharat’s number eight, while the experienced Turner (6-1-6-1) clean bowled the number six.
After drinks, Lilley (6 for 25) fancied his chances of wrapping up the innings and did as the visitors were bowled out for 79 in 39 overs.
After an early tea, Lilley also opened the batting and led from the front again with a few fine fours.
Opening partner Stewart-Halford (1) fell early, but Vadgama (19) and Lilley kept the scoreboard ticking until the former tried to play over the top and was caught.
After Lilley fell for 16, Turner (23 not out) and Mount (7 not out), making his Saturday debut, carried the team home before drinks in the 19th over with only three wickets down.
