County League: Barkby United seal ninth-place finish in Premier

Barkby United ended their County League Premier campaign in ninth place after rain forced an early finish to their final match at home to Uppingham

The home side won the toss and chose to bat, but with only five runs on the board they lost the wickets of openers Boyce and Wood.

Nine runs later Hollis was caught for eight, and Steve Flowers was the only batsman to look confident, scoring 48 before he was bowled by Green.

Louis Botting was the only other batsman to reach double figures as the home side were dismissed for 113.

Uppingham started their innings, but after just two overs the rain arrived and the match had to be abandoned with Uppingham on 9-0.
