Egerton Park kept pace with the promotion race as their bowlers toppled league leaders Loughborough Carillon on Saturday.
The Melton side defended a low total and bowled out Carillon for just 144 to wrap up a 24-run win and move within 20 points of new leaders Ashby Ivanhoe Seconds.
Egerton Park won the toss and elected to bat first, but got off to a bad start when they lost the wicket of Stuart Rose early on.
But a terrific partnership from Tom Glover (34) and Richard Bailey (25) steadied the ship and gave skipper Charlie Madden (40) and Rich Haffenden (29) the confidence to play their shots and give Park a decent total of 166-8.
Park set out to continue their good form with the ball by picking up early wickets and this was just what they did through Nick Watchorn (2 for 29) and Glover (3 for 27).
Then it was down to Park spinners Henry Newton (2 for 37) and Mitchell Ellis (3 for 34) to see out the game for Park and move them up to fourth in a tightly-packed top half of the table.
They will hope to continue their brilliant form and make it four wins from five when they travel to Broomleys on Saturday.
