Barkby United moved up to third and into the Division One promotion places after an impressive victory at Newtown Linford on Saturday.
Newtown won the toss and chose to bat, and with the score on 19, Drake took an excellent catch in the slips off Waplington to dismiss Bailey for five.
Prolific run scorer Scaysbrook played his usual attacking game and he and Wood took the score to 81 before Wood was caught behind by Troop off Smithard for 12.
Barkby were delighted to have Scaysbrook brilliantly caught on the boundary by Phillips for 58, when the ball seemed to be heading for a six.
Waplington ended his 12-over spell with 3 for 49, and Freddie Hammond bowled an excellent eight overs, taking 3 for 18.
Kingham added a fine 42 before he was bowled by Matt Boyce, but Barkby were pleased to dismiss the home side for 176 in the 40th over.
Jack Berrisford and Boyce put on 126 for the first wicket before the latter was bowled by Dale for 49.
Steve Flowers came to the wicket and hit the second ball he received for six. He carried on in an attacking mode, hitting four sixes and five fours in his unbeaten 49, made off only 20 balls.
Barkby reached their victory target in the 33rd over, Berrisford finishing on 50 not out.
The result tees up this Saturday’s match when Barkby entertain Earl Shilton in a top-of-the-table battle (starts 1pm).
