Barkby reached the third round of the National Village Cup when they beat Lubenham by 30 runs on Sunday.
Barkby reached 230-7 from their 40 overs thanks to a fluent 75 from captain Steve Flowers, while Waplington (20), Hollis (26), Wood (32), and young Jack Johnson (28 not out) all made useful contributions to the innings.
Despite a fine knock of 64 from Jonathan Cordingly, Lubenham were never really up with the required scoring rate and were bowled out for 200 in the 39th over.
Barkby will travel to Papplewick and Lynby CC for their third round tie on Sunday, May 31 for a 1pm start.
