Barkby United Cricket Club’s junior section held their presentation evening at Barkby Village Hall, organised by Alison Kirk and Mark Tebbutt.
It was attended by more than 70 parents, grandparents and children as former Leicestershire CCC batsman Matt Boyce presented the trophies.
Tom Heathcote was named Junior Player of the Year, while Keelan Draycott was awarded the Barry Bedford Trophy, and Harry Colville was Wicketkeeper of the Year.
In the age group prizes, Reece Barker and Corie Moore took the under 10s prizes for bowling and batting respectively, and William Mann was the coaches’ player of the year.
The under 11 team prizes went to bowler Veeramn Patel and batsman Thomas Asher, while the coaches’ prize went to Ollie Howard.
Oliver Heathcote was named the under 13s coaches’ player of he year, while the batting prize went to Ben Leah and the bowling honour was won by Shay Pattani.
Liam Pochin was adjudged to be the under 15s’ best bowler of the season, and Jack Fox took home the batting prize. Joe Asher won the coaches’ player of the year prize.
* A raffle on the night raised £95, half of which will be given to Children In Need and the other half for club coffers.
