I don’t know who is responsible for sending out the road sweeping lorries but they seem to be lacking in common sense.
There has been a great deal of re-surfacing work done recently on the outskirts of the town including the road outside Great Dalby Primary School.
On Tuesday (May 19) at about 8.40am when parents were bringing children to school there was severe congestion as traffic was held up by not one but two of the road sweeping lorries. They had obviously been despatched to clear the excess gravel, but it would seem that little thought had been given to the timing.
Had no thought been given to the safety of the children?
If it was felt essential to use two lorries, a delay of 30 to 40 minutes would have been far less disruptive and given less cause for concern.
