A charity is in desperate need for more collection tin volunteers to come forward to help place tins into shops and help empty them to collate funds.
The Derbyshire Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance needs to boost its volunteer numbers and wants anyone who may be interested to get in touch.
Volunteers don’t require any previous experience as training will be given, this volunteer role is suitable for anyone due to its flexibility.
Charlotte Marson, the charity’s fundraising coordinator, said: “Collection tins in shops are a vital awareness tool and used to generate funds for the charity. Although it’s loose change being put into the tins generally, they bring in a substantial amount of money each year, but we desperately need help to bring in more.
“Last month, our helicopters attended 136 live saving missions, which wouldn’t be possible without the support of the public and our volunteers.”
