Residents in Little Dalby are raising funds for their village church after it was targeted by lead thieves last month.
Thieves stole lead from the roof of the south aisle and porch at St James the Greater, with the cost of damage estimated be in the thousands.
It was the third time in recent years the church had been targeted by metal thieves.
Now villagers have organised a ‘baby bargains and bake sale’ event as part of the church roof fundraising efforts.
The event will be held in Great Dalby Village Hall on Saturday, April 9, 9.30am until noon.
There will be ‘pre-loved’ baby and children’s clothes for sale, toys and accessories and refreshments including cake.
Entry will be £1, with tables available to stall holders for £10.
