An Old Dalby resident has published a book recording the history of the village.
Joan Revill, of Croft Gardens, records all the major events from the time when the settlement was first established by the Vikings through to popular annual community event, Old Dalby Day.
The book also includes recollections by residents.
She said: “Other people have chronicled the village’s history in a variety of different ways.
“I wanted to bring together information about the past from various scattered sources, so that it would be available in one place.”
Email Joan on email@example.com to buy ‘Old Dalby - a lovely place to live’, which costs £6 (plus £1 postage and packing).
