Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service say two vehicles were involved in the incident, in High Street, at 10.11am.

A spokesperson said: “We have been advised that one vehicle had collided with a stationary vehicle and that the stationary vehicle had travelled across the road and into a domestic property, which resulted in external and internal damage to the property.

“A building Inspector will be contacted by the occupants of the property.”

Initially, a Leicestershires technical rescue team was mobilised, together with crews from Newarke and Grantham.

The spokesperson added: “On arrival at the scene, the Grantham appliance advised that all other vehicles could be stood down as this was a two-vehicle road traffic collision with no-one trapped.

“It was confirmed that an ambulance was required and that a paramedic was at the scene.”

The junction of High Street and Queen Street has been closed to traffic in the aftermath of the accident.
