Two cars collide in Melton leading to traffic jams
There has been heavy traffic in Melton this morning (Wednesday) after two cars were in collision in the town centre.
The crash happened on Norman Way, near the junction with Nottingham Road, and led to major tailbacks across Melton.
A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: “We were called out at 8.44am after reports of a road traffic accident in Norman Way.
“There doesn’t appear to be any injuries to people travelling in the vehicles involved.
“The road was blocked, however, and this has caused heavy traffic in the town.”
