Norman Way in Melton has re-opened after a middle-aged woman was hit by a car this afternoon (Friday, May 13).
The collision happened near the Snow Hill junction, on the corner where Halfords is, at about 1pm.
Sergeant Ade Grant said: “The collision involved a single vehicle which hit a pedestrian crossing the road. We don’t yet know the level of the woman’s injuries but at the moment they’re believed to be slight.”
“The driver of the car is a man in his 20s.”
The air ambulance landed near Beckmill Court to assist at the scene.
