The Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA) is looking for brave Melton people to challenge themselves and do something out of the ordinary this year in aid of the charity.

The service is offering incredible fundraising opportunities all throughout the year – from running marathons and cycling across the Great Wall of China to wing walking, skydiving and trekking through the rainforest in Borneo.

There are experiences for everyone and team challenges for people who want to get a group of friends together and raise vital funds.

The Air Ambulance service, the umbrella organisation for the DLRAA, receives no government funding. Each DLRAA rescue mission costs about £1,700.

When supporters sign up for challenges they will receive a pack in the post about the event they have signed up to, and be put in touch with their local fundraising coordinator to help them achieve their target.

If you don’t fancy any of the events you can contact the charity for a range of fundraising ideas such as Dry January and £s for lbs for those looking to get trim this year.
