A child who was hit by a car in Melton was airlifted to hospital yesterday (Saturday, May 2)
It’s understood the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance landed in the Craven Street area at about 6.15pm. A road ambulance was already in attendance.
At the time of going to press an air ambulance spokeswoman couldn’t confirm the precise location of the incident but said the child was flown to Nottingham’s Queens Medical Centre, arriving at the hospital within 10 minutes of the helicopter leaving the scene just after 6.45pm.
The spokeswoman would not give any more details about the child.
It’s understood Victoria Street was closed while emergency services attended the scene.
